What is it about?

Here we tested the effect of fruit pulp with secondary metabolites (glucosinolates) on two related rodents species – Acomys cahirinus, a seed disperser and A. russatus, a seed predator. The difference in their response correlate well with their perspective roles, i.e. seed disperser, A. cahirinus, was more sensitive to ill effects, explaining why it avoid eating the seed with the pulp.
