What is it about?
For three years, I was the Editor-in-Chief (EiC) of the Journal of Information Technology Case and Application Research (JITCAR). The EiC wears many hats, among them are manuscript screener, review process manager, board developer, promoter, strategist, and coach. Of all these, I found that being a coach (of authors, reviewers, and editors) was most fun and most rewarding. This chapter concludes with some lessons for authors and editors alike.

Why is it important?
Being an editor can be a stressful experience. Coaching can relieve this stress and bring joy to the role. Manuscript authors will also benefit from reading this chapter by learning how to use and accept the coaching of their editors.
