What is it about?
In rough media, the diffusion of electromagnetic (EM) fields is anomalous. We develop a modeling scheme for EM subdiffusion in rough media based on dispersion conductivity. Different numerical experiments analyze the propagation characteristics of EM fields in rough media.

Why is it important?
Considering that rough media are mostly associated with porous and fractured geologies, this study of anomalous EM diffusion lays the foundation for future inversion and detailed interpretation of geophysical data for fractural or porous characterization in complex geological environments.
