What is it about?
Mindfulness, as the founder of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Jon Kabat-Zinn has explained, is the awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgementally. It has also been used to relieve depression. Why is mindfulness helpful for these emotional problems? We found that an increase of emotional resilience may meditate this helpfulness.

Why is it important?
Increasing evidence has shown that mindfulness may be helpful for emotional problems like depression and anxiety. With this paper, it was revealed that one is emotional tougher if he / she is more mindful. Hence, it explains why regular practice of mindfulness meditation helps.
