Physical abuse regularly punishing impulsivity, hyperactivity and other behaviors deemed annoying or otherwise undesirable may be a causative or contributory factor of atypical conduct more or less compatible with autism spectrum and/or obsessive-compulsive disorders, sometimes also predisposing to alcohol consumption and binge drinking.
