What is it about?
Transmembrane efflux pumps can interfere with drug delivery and reduce treatment efficacy. We show for the first time that certain types of these transporters are upregulated in the most widely-used animal model of lung fibrosis, affecting the preclinical study of new drug candidates for fibrotic lung diseases.
