What is it about?

Elevated protein levels of cathepsin S are observed in clinical samples from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients but little is known about it's role in this disease. We demonstrate that loss of cathepsin S protects the lung from developing this disease and we utilize a novel drug to preventing cathepsin s production.
