What is it about?
The letter deals with a technical problem relevant when the expression of human GITR is studied by flow cytometry

Why is it important?
We demonstrate that the anti-GITR antibody clone 621, which is the most used to stain human GITR, does not bind GITR. For this reason, several studies conclude that human GITR is not expressed by human regulatory T cells (Treg). We suggest that studies evaluating GITR expression by flow cytometry must use an antibody different from 621 mAb, such as, for example, DT5D3 mAb.
