What is it about?
We provide a software architecture that supports large-scale data transfers between microscopy facilities and supercomputers to handle high-volume data streams that would otherwise overwhelm on-site resources, opening the door to online analysis with artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Why is it important?
Our software infrastructure will support fundamental science at the Dynamic PicoProbe site at Argonne National Laboratory which is currently undergoing upgrades that will enable it to produce up to 100s of GB of data per day. Our software can be easily adapted to other experimental facilities and applications important for science and industry.
