What is it about?
Dance instructors have unique requirements with respect to music playback in their classes, in particular the ability to stay in position while controlling the playback, and to change speed via time-stretching. We present TempoWatch, a wearable smartwatch-based interface designed to allow dance instructors to control music playback and tempo directly on their wrist via touch gestures using a circular watch display.

Why is it important?
With our interface, the instructor can handle these tasks nearly without visual attention to the interface which leads to a better performance in managing the students during the dance class.
Perspectives
Because I work as a dance instructor as well, this project gave me the option to create a system that perfectly fits to my requirements and makes my work much more efficient.
