What is it about?
This paper is about how a range of stakeholders perceived the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework. Specifically, their knowledge of it and their feelings towards it. The paper shows that in most cases, whilst considering the theory of a framework to be something positive, the reality of it was unfeasible. Moreover, many viewed it merely as an exercise of ticking a box rather than having any in-depth engagement with it.

The paper is important as it represents a study done of the perceptions of the framework by those ostensibly familiar with and deeply engaged with it. The paper postulates that there may be other reasons than academic ones underpinning the rationale for the framework.
