Why is it important?

Learning Management Systems or Virtual Learning Environments are often expensive, and if not institutionally supported, could make online or blended instruction impossible for many instructors. The ideas in this paper, and the student reactions to them, may be a model for instructors without access to learning management systems to emulate with Google tools, or other free tools.
