Violence at work in the ambulance service: the role of HRM and other systems

What is it about?

We interview paramedics about assault against them committed by patients and the public. This study shows how the ambulance services helps protect paramedics from violence, and supports them after it has occurred. We consider how support can be provided to paramedics from other sources such as police, psychologists, unions, and the federal government.
