2 therapies have been found that aid recovery and resilience for those who have suffered under gay conversion practices. Gay conversion therapy should be banned but unfortunately it is still a thriving cottage industry in countries like the UK and in Sri Lanka.

Why is it important?

The reason why it's important is because not much is available to survivors of gay conversion therapy. The 2 studies included show that good effective help is available albeit hard to find.

Perspectives

I like that EMDR is featured as one source of help. The other study used positive psychology to help reduce inner gay hatred
