What is it about?
A literature review in the area of pervasive games shows that only forty articles present the use of procedural content generation methods. The results revealed that PCG techniques are applied across six major AI areas for semi or fully-automated game content generation. These techniques are relevant to eight distinct game genres and can influence five aspects of game design. Additionally, the study identified 33 diverse data sources applicable to procedural generation and noted 29 types of conducted evaluations. The most prominent genre discovered is educational games.
