Internationalization challenges for SMEs: evidence and theoretical extension

What is it about?

We examine new research on the internationalisation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Pacific Island Nation (PIN) country Fiji. We find that, SME internationalisation in Fiji is driven by management competence , entrepreneurial orientation and hindered by the unfavourable institutional environment .Our findings have important implications for managers in improving their firms’ international performance.
