What is it about?

Around the world, companies face growing demands for accountability and responsibility. But when we look closely at those demands we see a baffling array of meanings associated with them. This paper examines those ambiguities by ranging across their use in scholarly writing, public policy debates, legal and philosophical use and even in poetry. What it shows is that the demands for both - while multi-faceted and often confusing - sensitize us to think and be accountable and responsible.
