What is it about?
Tilting trains is an important technological aspect in high speed trains. Many countries do run tilting trains services, e.g. Sweden, Italy, the UK. Control engineering has been a major contributor in this area. The paper presents work on optimized PID controller design for non-precedence tilt (i.e. tilting action of the passenger vehicle not depending on preview track corner information).
