What is it about?
The human interaction in non-competitive martial arts can be compared to other kinds of social interaction from the sequential and multimodal points of view. As in naturally occurring conversation, practitioners of martial arts can project the trajectory of their partner's contribution in order to organize their own physical contribution to the shared activity.
