What is it about?
Japanese child returnees were tested on their knowledge of aspect in L2 English. Specifically, we focus on the progressive aspectual form -ing (e.g., Mary is walking) and the present verb form (e.g., Mary walks) with the four basic verb classes (Vendler, 1967), i.e., activity, accomplishment, state, and achievement.
