What is it about?

The accentual patterns of French are viewed in such a way so as to demonstrate their direct influence on the behavior of sounds as they convey meaning in both the morphology and the syntax of the language.

Why is it important?

This is to demonstrate that, contrary to the current linguistic orthodoxy, there is a direct interface or relationship between accentual patterns and the other levels of language, viz. the morphology and the syntax.

Perspectives

During my research on this topic, I have not stopped being absorbed by the interrelationships in human language. The processes laid out reveal a challenging perspective from which to view the networking between the phonology and the morphology, and the phonology and the syntax. It is my hope that this will provide a worthy effort to others working in linguistics.
