Why is it important?
Pathogen re-emergence is a very serious problem in our present times which requires. Using the analytical methods in this study we were able to demonstrate that the mumps vaccine primarily exhibits waning-type vaccine failure which can be directly linked to the recent increase in the incidence internationally. Among other crucial epidemiological statistics for the US, we were able to estimate the average duration of vaccine-derived immunity. This study can aid in the design of booster schedules.
