What is it about?
This was the first randomised controlled trial of treatment for children with apraxia of speech (CAS). We compared two treatments - Rapid Syllable Transition Treatment (ReST) originally developed by Prof Donald A. Robin and the Nuffield Dyspraxia Programme 3rd Ed. from the UK. The children had normal receptive language skills and no other developmental diagnoses. While both groups improved, findings suggested ReST lead to better maintenance of improvements over time.
