What is it about?
This article is an attempt to explore how different relationship experiences in the past influence current relationship functioning in the present. The findings indicate that on average as the accumulation of previous types of relationship experiences increase their negative association with current relationship functioning also increases. Important implications about helping individuals consider the potential negative influence of relationship difficulties and breakups can have on future relationships is considered.
