What is it about?
This study covers the physiology and biochemistry of Cuscuta infection on lipid composition of siliquae of Brassica campestris.

Why is it important?
As it reveals the severity of damage induced by Cuscuta to rape siliquae to be dependent on the developmental stage of host plant at the time of infection.
Perspectives
In my opinion, the severity of damage induced by Cuscuta to rape siliquae was dependent on the developmental stage of host plant at the time of infection., and thus, this finding may provide a clue how to check developmental phase dependent infection, and improving the yield of silique and seeds
