Why is it important?

The Internet of Things is a growing market. Connected objects seem to revolutionize consumers' attitudinal and behavioral patterns and their habits. This article brings insights to better understand consumer usage of these new products.

Perspectives

Research perspective: The announced aim of the IoT is the improvement of people’s well-being, life, and efficiency. However, the question remains of whether people will continue to manage their lives or whether their lives will be managed by connected objects. Are we going to evolve from Homo sapiens into Homo digitalis?
