What is it about?

Many drugs have been tested across many diseases. This review summarizes the content of >25million papers. We provide a wealth of examples and suggest how we might be able to get more out of the drugs that already exist but which may not have been tested against the many known diseases.

Why is it important?

The potential to find new drugs for diseases is very compelling. There are nearly 200 drugs that have been tested in > 300 diseases for example. Thousands of drugs have been tested 10 diseases.

Perspectives

The hope is this work could encourage repurposing as well as learning from data that already exists.
