Why is it important?

The COVID-19 pandemic of 2020-2021 resulted in the closure of most schools and other educational institutions world-wide. There is a great need to maintain instructional continuity during throughout extended school closures and this chapter provides guidance.

Perspectives

Writing this chapter with a great team of scholars was an enjoyable collaborative effort. The book chapter includes a lot of information and a job aid that should be useful to instructional designers, teachers, and university faculty members.
