What is it about?

G35-26 is the name of a type of stars known as WhiteDwarf stars. This particular WD appeared to have a very large mass for irs type.

Why is it important?

Its large mass was a challenge for theories of how stars evole.

Perspectives

Later, someone else obtained better spectroscopic data and was able to show that the star was more normal than we thought.
