What is it about?
The paper investigates the Buddhist approach to nature and sustainability. Buddhism does not give primary importance to nature in itself, and does not strive to deal with sustainability directly. Nonetheless, Buddhist practice and the Buddhist way of living is very much in line with the preservation of the environment, and the realization of sustainability, because it proposes certain spiritual values (e.g. frugality, simplicity, interconnectedness) that contribute to environmental preservation and sustainability.
