About my research
Juan S. Fernández-Prados is a Professor of Sociology at the University of Almería, Spain. Holding a PhD in Sociology from UNED, his research primarily focuses on civil society, social change, and the political culture of volunteering. He has extensively studied digital citizenship and the sociological implications of migration processes, contributing significantly to the fields through numerous publications, including books, peer-reviewed articles, and chapters. Juan Sebastián has led several national and European research projects, exploring methodologies in social sciences, volunteering, social participation, and digital activism. His work aims to bridge theoretical research with practical societal applications, fostering a deeper understanding of the dynamics within civil societies and promoting active citizenship.
