Climate awareness is high among coastal residents in Dansoman, Ghana whereas Climate Knowledge is low among coastal residents. Climate awareness and knowledge is key to understanding the concept and determinants of climate vulnerability. Enhancing awareness and knowledge are key components of adaptive capacity.

Why is it important?
Climate Awareness and knowledge are clearly expatiated. Severity of climate change issues as a global phenomenon and degree of attention assigned to it are highlighted in the study. Goes a long way to inform decision assist policy makers on climate issues in the area.
Perspectives
My passion for climate change issues drove me to achieve this goal. Climate change events are key issues stemming most fringe communities. Hence, identified and decided to bridge this knowledge gap.
