What is it about?

Pacing induced ECG changes coupled with elevated troponins led to a diagnosis of false diagnosis of MI which was proven by coronary angiography.

Physician needs to be aware of phenomenon of pacing induced ST-T changes and causes of falsely elevated troponins (troponinemia).

Perspectives

The case was great learning experience as both ECG and Cardiac enzymes were abnormal and yet a diagnosis of MI was not established.
