What is it about?

This study determines the prevalence of extended spectrum beta lactamase producers among enteric Gram negative bacteria isolated from patients in Teaching hospital Osun State because the increase in the frequency of the β-lactam resistance in bacteria has become a serious threat for treating bacterial infections caused by enterobacteriaceae.

Why is it important?

it study shows that extended spectrum beta lactamases are gradually increasing in Nigeria with co-resistance to some other classes of antibiotics which is very alarming and can be treated by the drug fluoroquinolones.

Perspectives

it is a great priviledge writing this article as it is one of the article that point out the resistance pattern of pathogens that cause infection in humans. it also determines the therapeutic drug which can be used to fight against this infectious pathogens.
