What is it about?

Ligno-cellulose biomass its difficult to degrade for the production of biogas. The limitations are conferred by lignin components of plant substrates. Processes targeted at lignin removal has been utilized but their efficacies differs based on the climate influence of the region. Therefore, application of both biological and chemical processes for lignin removal will contribute largely to high biogas yield with proper optimization of process parameters.

Why is it important?

We compared the two processes of lignin removal involving both bacterial and alkaline and optimized the most yielding of biogas. We then optimized the process for specific application of the process parameters. This will enhance the prospects of alternative energy in Africa especially bioenergy considering the abundant resources available for it.

Perspectives

This article exposes the route to alternative energy source and I hope that through this article, I get to connect with people of like mind especially in this field. Am open to opportunities for collaboration.
