What is it about?

This article is about Corporate Social Responsibility of a Mining company in Ghana. It establishes the Policies, Plans, Programs and Projects engulfed around CSR projects in Obuasi Municipality by AngloGold Mines in an attempt to give back to the society what it exploits. It establishes how CSR can be used as a tool to bridge poverty or enhance people’s welfare.

Why is it important?

Writing this article was a great pleasure as it has co-authors with experience within the said field. This article leads to highlighting the essence of Corporate Social Responsibility/Sustainability and how it could be used as a tool to bridge poverty gap or enhance human welfare in most communities. It establishes what corporate institutions are doing in real sense, what’s documented and the actual situation on the ground.

Perspectives

Great piece of work with an ideal situation in Ghana using AngloGold Mines. CSR can be used a tool to alleviate poverty and enhance several livelihoods.
