What is it about?
The presence of public libraries in public places makes it easier to visit and use them, as public places usually receive many visitors, and this will promote the library and increase demand. Here is a model that was applied in the city of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates by establishing public libraries in public parks.

Why is it important?
Eligible parks were identified, residents of neighboring areas were consulted, and based on the findings, three libraries were established in Khalifa Park, Al Bahia Park, and Al Wathba Park in Abu Dhabi, in addition to an electronic library on the Abu Dhabi Corniche.
Perspectives
Working in the management of this project was a great pleasure for me. I overcame the challenges I faced, including convincing those involved in the work within the municipality on the one hand, and on the other hand agreeing with the entity operating the libraries, which is the Department of Culture and Tourism, all of this to meet the community’s need for public libraries and leave a positive impact on People's lives in Abu Dhabi.
