Why is it important?

The eminence of trees in earth and environmental science research takes various forms. By and large, it is influenced by the scientific discipline primarily conducting the research. This review paper attempts to cross the boundaries between scientific disciplines. This is an important step towards building a more holistic approach to understanding the roles of trees in the environment.
