What is it about?
In our study, we looked at what affects how nursing students in internship programs show caring behavior. We found that things like their grades, personality traits, motivation, and how much work they have to do all play a role. Surprisingly, the amount of work they have was the most important factor. This means that students might need more support when they have a heavy workload during their nursing internships. We also think that it's important to help students get used to the internship environment from the beginning. Teachers who work with them during internships can make a big difference in how caring students become.

Why is it important?
Our study is unique because it uncovers what influences caring behavior in nursing interns, a crucial aspect of nursing education. This is timely given the growing demand for compassionate nurses in challenging healthcare environments. Understanding these factors can lead to better support and training for nursing students, improving patient care. This relevance to both academia and healthcare practice can attract a broader readership.
