What is it about?
Bird lives in association with each other and with the vegetation and form the community. The community structure embodies the various ways where individual members of communities interacted with each other with spatial and temporal abundance among the species . The vegetational structure is thought to be one of the key factors influencing avian species richness at all levels.

Why is it important?
The studies were carried out in four different habitats i.e Forest habitat, Urban/village habitat, Agricultural and Riverine habitat of erstwhile district Doda of Jammu and Kashmir which lies in the middle Himalayan chain of NW Himalayas.
Perspectives
Birds live in association with each other and with the vegetation, as a result, the concept of community the structure came into existence in the case of birds.
