What is it about?
The present study aims to assess the changes in, opinion and knowledge in the members of a shadow jury composed of 19 volunteer participants. We administered a questionnaire before and after the experience, to measure participants ́ and procedural characteristics. Results showed significant differences in a more positive evaluation of the defense versus the prosecution, give more consideration to the cause and origin of the crime, and an increase in knowledge about the jury and its functions.

Why is it important?
The jury's court has an integral role in the administration of justice since the future of the accused depends on it. Results allowed us to establish that participants were more knowledgeable regarding the jury after the study, although there were no significant changes of opinion.
