What is it about?
The purpose of this study is to review etiopathogenic causes and therapeutic aspects of psoriasis. Therefore, the literature review aims to address the following: 1. Explore psoriasis theories and factors that influence psoriasis. 2. Review the effectiveness of different treatment methods in managing mild, moderate and severe psoriasis. 3. In addition, there is a need to identify and evaluate new or novel therapies in the treatment of moderate and severe forms of psoriasis.

Why is it important?
Psoriasis is a multifactorial chronic disease. Genetics, immune and environmental factors play a significant role in its development. Psoriasis is a treatable but incurable disease that is widespread and significantly impacts quality of life. Advances in understanding the aetiology and pathogenesis of psoriasis will undoubtedly lead to the discovery of new treatments, better patient outcomes, and improved quality of life for patients.
