Why is it important?
This book uniquely brings Indigenous Dayak standpoints into design for health, showing how local knowledge and lived realities can shape more equitable health systems. It offers a timely alternative to one-size-fits-all approaches by foregrounding local values, context and community agency.
Perspectives
For me, this book is about learning to design by listening. It reflects my journey of returning to Borneo and learning from Indigenous Dayak communities about health, place and what design can become when grounded in local realities.
