What is it about?
This paper explores 're' as a prefix, introducing the concept of 're-cycling' through key themes: estrangement, the knowing spectator and qualified agency, as an axiom. It is argued that the actions of mirror neurons make re-cycling both a pre-disposition and a cultural-social action of our 'lived' bodies. A Midsummer Night's Dream is presented as a case-study, with the concept related to the work of the academy. Images of theatrical-cultural ghosts and 're-cyclings' close the paper.
