What is it about?
It is common for people who have had a stroke to be provided with a home visit before they are discharged from hospital, to make sure they are safe at home and able to maintain a good quality of life. This study reports on an analysis of the cost-effectiveness of home visits within a clinical trial.

Why is it important?
Little research has been done to assess whether or not home visits are effective and whether they are a good use of occupational therapists' time. Furthermore, the extent to which cost-effectiveness analysis has been used in occupational therapy is limited, so this paper seeks to provide guidance.
