What is it about?
Within the dual-process theory of information processing, differently from System 2, System 1 mainly processes information in a fast, parallel and unconscious way. In this paper the evidence supporting the hypothesis that System 1 may processes not only local but also nonlocal information, that is information not received by suign conventional means, is reviewed.
