MELASMA, A COMMON PIGMENTARY DERMATOSES, HAS IMPARTED CONSIDERABLE PSYCHOSOCIAL IMPACT ON PERSONS AFFECTED PARTICULARLY DUE TO ITS RESISTANT NATURE. THIS RESISTANCE MAY BE EXPLAINED BY UNKNOWN ETIOLOGICAL FACTORS THAT ARE NOT TARGETED BY THERAPIES. HEREWITH A CROSS SECTIONAL STUDY OF THYROID EVALUATION IN MELASMA ALONG WITH CORRELATION OF PRESENTATION IS OUTLINED.
