What is it about?

Workforce data of a profession provide useful insights for advocacy and strategic growth of the profession. Periodic workforce surveys also serve as a yardstick to measure the growth trajectory of the profession. This survey aims to determine the average compensation received by occupational therapists in India and benchmark the profession's growth against 2015 workforce data.

Why is it important?

Our findings show that the occupational therapy (OT) profession in India is in growth trajectory. Multiple factors influence the average salary received by occupational therapists (OTs) in India. This study offers useful data and insights, to all stakeholders of OT in India, for planning and advocacy purposes.

Perspectives

As a passionate occupational therapist from India, conducting and publishing this study was a rewarding experience.
