What is it about?
Horos based virtual dissection is an improvisation of already available functionality in a freely available Mac-based open-source software to modify volume rendering which in turn permits enhanced 3D visualization of intracardiac anatomy.

Why is it important?
A detailed assessment of the intracardiac anatomy of normal and malformed hearts is important for the management of various structural heart diseases. The paper provides a detailed description of how exactly virtual dissection can be achieved from CT angiographic datasets without needing costly software.
