Why is it important?
As one measurement seems to be sufficient to measure hamstring flexibility, MBSSRT is safer, practically feasible and more comfortable of the two sit and reach protocol. Moreover, MBSSRT reduces the strain on the therapist back due to the use of bench for the measurement.
